Being from Texas, I like to get my "grub on" and there is no better place to do that than MESS HALL in Los Feliz. I've been to other restaurants that claim their menu is southern barbecue inspired, but I have to say I wasn't ever impressed, that is until Mess Hall came around. A lot of places in L.A. can't make corn fritters and steaks, scallops or pulled pork the way I'm used to it. I'm also a sucker for their Banana Cream Pie Jar. So worth the calories. So try it out today, you'll be as hooked with Mess Hall as I am.
